In 2020 Instagram's @design team created a feature called #ReadingDesign and asked me to draw portraits of three influential, brilliant women in the design world (Kimberly Drew, Alice Rawsthorn, and Thelma Golden) and the design-ish books they recommend everyone read. They later added a feature called #SparktheDay, and for that I drew Glory Edim, creator of Well-Read Black Girl and author of the book by the same name.
